Scholarships From County Prosecutors Association Available
The County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey has announced the availability of four scholarships for law, college and graduate students, all of which must be applied for by September 15, 2012:
- Applicants for the Oscar W. Rittenhouse Memorial Scholarship must be New Jersey residents who have been accepted for admission to a law school, must have an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor and must demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants for the Andrew K. Ruotolo, Jr. Memorial Scholarship must be New Jersey residents who have been accepted for admission to graduate school or law school, must exhibit an interest in or commitment to enhancing the well-being and rights of children through child advocacy programs and must exhibit financial need.
- Applicants for the Harris Y. Cotton Memorial Scholarship must be New Jersey residents who have been accepted to a law school, must have an interest in pursuing a career as a prosecutor with an emphasis in hate crimes or domestic violence, and must demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants for the John H. Stamler Memorial Scholarship must be New Jersey residents who are also sworn law enforcement officers seeking educational advancement at either the college or graduate level and must also demonstrate financial need.
Each scholarship is a one year grant of $2,500 and scholarship recipients from previous years are ineligible.
