3-Car Crash Leads to Jefferson Man's Arrest
28-year-old township resident also had three outstanding arrest warrants, cops say.
A Jefferson man who had several outstanding warrants was arrested when he was caught with pot after getting into a three-vehicle car accident last week, police said.
David Walsh, 28, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and later released pending a Municipal Court date, according to Capt. Eric Wilsusen.
Police first responded to the accident at the intersection of Berkshire Valley Road and Lavina Trail on Dec. 5 when Walsh collided into two cars when making a left turn on to Berkshire Valley Road, Wilsusen said. Wilsusen said the accident was minor and no injuries were reported.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered Walsh had numerous outstanding warrants, and also was in possession of two glass smoking pipes and a baggie containing green leaf vegetation suspected to be marijuana, Wilsusen said.
Wilsusen said the warrants were out in Franklin Borough, Riverdale and Vernon Township.
