Camp Jefferson: A Day in the Life
Ever wonder what goes on all day at Camp Jefferson? Wonder no more!
The lazy crazy days of summer include weeks at Camp Jefferson for several children. Patch decided to check out just what happens in a day in the life of a camper.
The day we were there, campers were treated to a program on the importance of composting by Let’s Bloom Together. Michael Bedrick taught the groups about composting, then handed each camper a cup of dirt, some rotting fruit and a worm. The children did the shake dance to mix up their concoctions, which they brought home at day’s end.
We also caught some campers doing karate in the Main Lodge. Remind us not to get on their bad side, because these kids could kick!
There were a few aliens hanging out at camp that day, waiting to be judged on their costumes.
And it wouldn’t be a day at camp without a volleyball game, using a beach ball, of course, and a dip in the mini pools.
