Drunk Jefferson Woman Had 3 Kids in Car, Cops Say
47-year-old resident charged with DWI and endangering the welfare of a child.
A Jefferson woman was arrested last Saturday after she allegedly drove drunk with her three children in the car, police said.
Constance Richards, 47, was charged on Dec. 8 with DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, failure to remain in lane of travel and expired driver's license, Capt. Eric Wilsusen said.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of Richards over on Cozy Lake Road after her vehicle swerved in between lanes on Berkshire Valley Road and Cozy Lake Road, Wilsusen said.
Wilsusen said Richards failed to cooperate with the Breathalyzer test.
It was determined Richards was driving under the influence while her children were in the car, Wilsusen said.

Someone was watching over her children that day. Sadly she made the choice to put them in danger. Anyone can be a birth parent....some just don't have the skills to parent and set good examples.

This is so so sad, If you are going to drive drunk with your children in the car you have a serious problem. I thank God that they are all o.k. and pray she has learned her lesson and never repeats this behavior.

Too bad they didnt catch the father of the same children when he was reported doing the same thing. Those poor children now they have to live with him...its a sin how our system works.
