Evolution Show Canceled Due to Power Outage
High school went dark, Journey tribute band went silent.
Saturday night's Evolution concert, a tribute to Journey, that was to be held at Jefferson Township High School. has been postponed due to a power outage at the high school. The outage was caused by a blown breaker in the Cozy Lake substation, according to Jefferson Office of Emergency Management (OEM) officials.
Art Bonito, head of Jefferson Highlights, sponsor of the concerts, planned to get a generator to supply power so that the concert could go on, but was unable to do so due to safety concerns from the Board of Education.
Bonito is attempting to reschedule the show for a later date, Bonito said. Anyone with tickets to Saturday's show can exchange them for any other show this season.

I would like to thank personally each and every audience member who came to the High School for the Journey Tribute Concert which would have been a record breaking attendance for the The Camp Jefferson Amphitheatre Concert series after the show was moved due to the rain. Hundreds of you waited for the concert to start, unfortunately the loss of electric ended our hopes of doing the show. A special thanks to Mayor Felter who had a handle on the situation and the Board of Ed who tried to make it work. But due to safety concerts during the brown-out,it just wasn't to be. We will do our best to re-schedule this fantastic group,Evolution,at a later date. We hope to see you when Evolution returns.
