Head-On Crash Injures 3 on Berkshire Valley Road, Police Say

Accident happened just after 8 a.m. on Thursday.

A serious accident occurred on Berkshire Valley Road between Minnisink Road and Route 15 on Thursday morning just after 8 a.m., Jefferson Township police said.

The accident happened when a vehicle operated by Andrea Fornelos, 21, of East Hanover allegedly crossed over a double yellow line, hitting a car operated by Erika Bath, 16, of Newton. Bath was driving with a learner's permit with her father, passenger Richard Gannon, 53, of Wantage.

Fornelos had what appeared to be a serious but not life-threatening head injury and was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Both Bath and Gannon were transported to St. Clare’s in Dover for moderate injuries.

The Jefferson Township Rescue Squad and MICU responded to the scene.

Jefferson police dispatch called for additional personnel from Jefferson Rescue or Milton First Aid around 8:30 for a working CPR in Progress related to the accident... Was there a 4th person involved?

No, there was not a 4th person. Get the facts straight or be quiet. Actually that stupid 16 year old crossed over the lines, not Andrea. And I never knew that blood in the brain was a "non life threatening injury." What a disgrace. Jefferson police admitted to making a mistake in the report. Smh @ respirators considered non life threatening.

Neither of you have any idea what you are talking about. CPR wasn't performed on anyone. One of the victims was not breathing when medical help arrived but breathing resumed without the need for chest compressions.

Not what my source on the rescue squad said OR what dispatch called for.
