My family and I have always gone to the hill by Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mt. Arlington. You can set up chairs or blankets on the hill, there is plenty of room, and you get a great view. How about it readers, other suggestions?

Rockaway Borough has them on Saturday July 7 at Fireman's Field on Beach Street. And of course, the best ones are coming up next weekend, July 14 at the end of Jefferson Day on the high school football field!
