Robert Hayzler has been named the new assistant principal at Jefferson Township Middle School. His appointment was confirmed at Monday night's Board of Education meeting.

Hayzler replaces Margaret Widgren, who was promoted last month to the district's director of pupil personnel services.

Hayzler spent the last nine years as a health and physical education teacher for grades 4 - 8, athletic scheduler, head cross country coach, and head baseball coach at the middle school level. He will be leaving Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Rockaway Borough to come to the middle school.

"I'm very excited to have Mr. Hayzler on board," said middle school principal Jeanne Howe. "I think he's going to be a great fit with the students and staff at the middle school."

"I'm very excited to be here," Hayzler said. "I'm looking forward to getting started."
