Let Us Know When Your Power is Restored

Help us track remaining residents still in the dark from Sandy aftermath.

It's been almost two weeks since Hurricane Sandy caused severe damage to Jefferson, and left 99 percent of the township without power.

While Mayor Russell Felter said the number of outages dropped to about 25 percent this week, hundreds of residents still remain in the dark 11 days after the storm.

Help us track which neighborhoods have gotten their power back by adding your street in the comments below.

We have compiled a list of streets that have already gotten their power back from residents' comments on the Jefferson Facebook page, so let us know if we missed you.

Sorry but not ALL of Lake Shawnee has power. Power is still out on some of East Shawnee Trail. Power line has been in the road since Monday night and there has been no one in sight since then. Have been told Sunday that would be 16 days according to my calculations!

How is this going to work when there are streets like NY Ave where some homes have power and some don't. There were many streets like this in Prospect Point. I'm not going to say my street has power and then let everyone think that everyone on my street is ok.

Legion Road's power was restored on Monday night November 5th at approximately 7 pm - it went out at approximately 7 pm on Monday, October 29th. If you are a Cablevision customer, go onto their website at http://www.optimum.net/ and submit a service credit for the days you lost your service. They apparently don't automatically give it to you unless you request it!

Maybe a new story should be posted asking for readers to list outages instead by address or range of address. Commenter's would also be able to give a short list of people affected. Such as senior citizens, young children etc. The fact that almost 1000 customers are.out does not reflect the true picture of how many lives are involved.

The out of town work crews have been a HUGE help bu one issue that affected us on Pearl Lane was that a request from the team to JCP&L was either not made or was ignored to turn the power on once the faults were corrected. We would have had power 24 hours sooner if this had been done.
