Local Artist Visits White Rock
Richard Rossback teaches fourth graders, including his granddaughter.
Local artist Richard Rossback visited the fourth grade students at White Rock School recently in honor of youth art month, among them his granddaughter Lily Snow. The students and their teacher, Jennifer Tamayne-Hettema, had the opportunity to view examples of his work such as realistic paintings and models of towns from across the country.
“He makes these incredible models, Tamayne-Hettema said. “They are so intricate, with beautiful 3D scenery inside and out.”
The children learned about building a career in art and, as a culminating activity, the students were taught how to create life-like models using a fan brush.
