Police Academy, National Night Out Top This Week's Events

You can also get your kids' spines checked.

 

BILY Support Group: If you’re having trouble with your teenager’s behavior, this is the group to go to for support. It meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the Board of Education office.

National Night Out: Get to know the community and the police department on Tuesday night for National Night Out. It will be held at the municipal building from 6 – 9 p.m. It features tours of the police department, firearms displays, a tour of an ambulance rig, and free hot dogs, chips and soda while supplies last.

Junior Police Academy: All week long, youngsters will work toward becoming future police officers at the department’s Junior Police Academy. The students will take firearms practice with paintball guns, and arrest a “bad guy,” among other activities. Activities take place at Jefferson Township Middle School.

Toddler Time: This free program at Bright Horizons of Oak Ridge lets your child explore science, art, language and movement. It is for children aged 15 months to 2.5 years. Call 973-208-7100 for more information.

Kids’ Month at Family Chiropractic: Wednesday starts Kids’ Month at Family Chiropractic. You can bring your kids into the office and get their spine checked. The hours are Monday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 3 – 7 p.m., Tuesday 3 – 6 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 3 – 7 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 3 – 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 - 10:30 a.m.
