Police: Woman Drove Drunk, Endangered Kids

The following arrest information was supplied by the Jefferson Township police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

say a woman was driving drunk with two children in her car earlier this month.

Police received a report of someone driving erratically on March 17. Cpl. Bryan Christie found the car and stopped it on Holland Mountain Road, police said. 

Driver Tanya Morales, 45, of Stockholm was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to breath test, police said.

Since two children, ages 8 and 9, were in the car with Morales at the time, she was also charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. She was later released pending a municipal court appearance.
