New teacher and supervisor appointments also to be discussed.

Several financial decisions and new appointments are on the agenda when the Jefferson Township Board of Education meets on Monday night at 8 p.m. at the board offices at the old Drummond School in Lake Hopatcong.

The board plans to approve the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) during 2012-2013 at a cost of $2,150, allowing the district to participate in the approved interschool athletic program sponsored by the NJSIAA.

The board also plans to approve the contract for school lunches and breakfasts with Pomptonian, Inc. Prices for food for this school year will be as follows:

Elementary Schools
Lunch: $2.50; Breakfast: $1.25

Middle School
Lunch: $2.50; Breakfast: $1.25

High School
Lunch: $2.75; Breakfast: $1.50

Also on the meeting’s agenda is a resolution for submission of the three-year school maintenance plan to the Department of Education (DOE). This document lists all the required maintenance activities for each school building.

Kelly Villa is on the agenda to be appointed as supervisor of instructional technology, to replace Doug Walker, who left the district in July.
