School Starts, Council Meeting on This Week's Agenda

We hope you’re enjoying your long holiday weekend. Just one more day of summer fun and then the grind begins again. Here’s what’s coming up this week:
Start of School: If you have a student in Jefferson schools, the first day is Wednesday. If your student is going to the Morris County School of Technology, freshmen have an orientation on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and classes being Wednesday. At Morris Catholic High School classes begin on Tuesday. At Pope John High School, eighth, ninth and tenth graders report on Tuesday, while juniors and seniors go back on Wednesday. At Reverend Brown School, classes begin on Tuesday.
Township Council Meeting: The Jefferson Township council meets on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the municipal building. You can check out what’s happening in town at this meeting.
Breakfast on the Beach: Check this out on Saturday morning at CAPP Beach. For $10, you can get pancakes, muffins, quiche, eggs, sausage, fruit, bagels and more. The money goes toward improvements on the beach. The fun starts at 9 a.m.
Coffee Hour with Jesus: This weekly event takes place on Saturday night at 6 p.m. at the Lake Hopatcong United Methodist Church. There’s live music and discussion on questions you can submit.
