PHOTOS AND VIDEO: T-Rex Roars Through Jefferson
Field Station: Dinosaurs comes to town.
A tyrannosaurus rex came roaring through Jefferson recently, but it was nothing to get terribly concerned about. In fact, most of those who witnessed its coming to the lawn of the Jefferson Township Public Library were able to pet it and play with it.
The T-Rex Tour was part of Field Station: Dinosaurs, a 20-acre outdoor educational park filled with 31 animatronic dinosaurs in Secaucus. The show opened with dinosaur troubador Sam Weber singing songs to the children in attendance, getting them prepped for the arrival of t-rex.
After a few songs and parts of a story, the big dude made his entrance, much to the excitement, and sometimes fear, of the young audience members.
The t-rex puppet, Miron Gusso, visited with the audience, emitting loud roars and rearing his head while strolling through the crowd.
Stage manager Eliza Bertrand and dinosaur wrangler Brianna Kalisch aided in the festivities.
The company brings its show on the road with the t-rex, visiting school groups, libraries, fairs and baseball games throughout the state.
