Tell Us About Your Route 15/Route 80 Commute
How is your drive going, now that summer is over?
It's the end of the first back-to-work, back-to-school week. If you’re a regular commuter, you probably know by now that construction on Route 15 South near the Route 80 East split in Wharton is well underway. Currently Route 15 South at the bridge over Mount Hope Mineral Railroad is reduced to two lanes of traffic rather than the usual four.
Over the summer, that wasn’t such a big deal. With school not in session and people taking vacations, traffic was naturally a bit lighter. However, all that changed this week.
So we want to know how your commute is. If you’re a Route 15/80 commuter, take our poll and tell us your thoughts on the traffic situation.

This will be the week to comment on how bad the traffic is. Now that summer vacation and Labor Day are over, there are more commuters back on the roads. It hasn't been bad at all as I travel between 8:30-9:00 in the morning, but this week will be the true test of the bridge construction and it's toll on the traffic.

Today wasn't bad at all but school hasn't started yet. My bet is that by next week it will be a nightmare.

Rt 15 has always been a bad commute - New Quick Check, new traffic light(s) will make it even worse - They should have stuck with the original plan and took the highway away from the route it is on now. Rt 80 is another story, its just a mess every day - rain/snow/sunglare - forget about those issue - MegaMillions/Powerball - PLEASE!

Make sure you pack some food heading down Route 15 south in the morning. My 5 miles to route 80 takes an average of 30 mins and my additinal 2 miles on route 80 East is another 15 minutes. Such a gorgeous place to live but what the traffic is insane.
