What Business Is Jefferson Missing?

Tell us the one business you'd most like to see in town.

For the past several weeks, we’ve shown you different vacant buildings around town, and asked you what you’d like to see in them. We’ve gotten a variety of answers. You’d like to see coffee shops, places for kids to hang out and book stores, to name a few.

This week we’re going to change it up a bit and ask you this: What one business that the town doesn’t have would you most like to see in Jefferson? It can be anything you want (as long as it’s legal)!

So go ahead, tell us your wish list in the comments below. And have fun deciding!

How about Kohl's or a similar store, right there on Route 15 with access N and S would be great!

Laundromat, but that will never happen because of septics

Close up that glorified bodega called PathMark and bring Wegman's to town...great choice of food, great customer service Something PM is lacking in) and great selection..hell I'd even settle for a shoprite

@ Beachbum....PathMark just plain su*ks..it's dirty, really check your dairy, can't tell you how many times I've found out of date stuff sitting on shelves. I only deal with it because I work and my shopping day is Saturday and can't deal with the traffic down by Shoprite & Costco....really wish that dump was on the closure list, yes then I'll have to go to Wharton, but hoping a Wegman's, Shop Rite something would go in there.

I would like that too but it will never happen as chains like Applebee's want a liquor license and Jefferson has that one mile rule except in the case of the Diner...rule was broken by declaring it a redevelopment zone....rolling my eyes here....not even going to go there...ahem...

Septic instead of sewers could also be a factor in chains not opening here..yet another blown op by JT when we could have had sewers years ago...we've had pizz poor mangement for decades now...

Mayfairwitch1, I couldn't agree more about the Diner. Thanks for saying it. A lack of septics
didn't stop them either.
