Woman Gets Probation for Attempted Credit Card Fraud
Lake Hopatcong resident tried illegally using credit card in Sparta.
A Lake Hopatcong woman was sentenced to three years probation for her role in credit card fraud, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Jennifer Schroeder, 31, pleaded guilty on Sept. 17, 2012 to attempted fraudulent use of a credit card when she illegally used a credit card belonging to another person at the CVS Pharmacy in Sparta on June 12, 2012, the Prosecutor's Office said.
In addition to the probation, Schroeder was ordered to serve 100 hours community service, continue with the outpatient program she is currently enrolled in and must maintain employment, the prosecutor’s office said.
Schroeder will also have to pay fines in the amount of $155, restitution in the amount of $40, and submit a DNA sample at her own expense.

This will likely not be her last crime - DNA sample on record will certainly make it quick and simple to ID her on the next one.
