Cover to Cover Library Book Club Talks Toni Morrison's 'Home'

Your daily planner for Jefferson Township includes a look at the local library's monthly reading event for grownups.

Here's what you need to know for Thursday.

Books are the word, of course, at the Jefferson Township Public Library. We hear lots about reading events for little ones and teens, but adults interested in sharing their love for the literary arts have an event just for them too.

Cover to Cover, the library’s book discussion group for adults, meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the library’s Riker Room. And this Thursday happens to be October's fourth day before Friday.

The book currently being discussed is "Home" by Toni Morrison.  If you've read it or wish to hear various members' opinions of the work, contact librarian Christine O'Brien at 973-208-6244 about joining the group.

By the way, it's never too early to get reading for November: When the group meets next month, on Nov. 21, the book to be discussed will be Amor Towles' "Rules of Civility."
