School Ski Program Begins, SNAP Parents Meet at Jefferson High

Your daily planner for Jefferson Township includes a reminder of live music each Thursday at J-Towne Tavern.

Here's what you need to know for Thursday.

  • Today is the kickoff for the Jefferson Township Recreation Department's school-based six-week Ski/Snowboard Program at Mountain Creek in Vernon. Township residents in grades 3 to 12 and their relatives and friends will take part. are welcome to take part. Those needing last-minute details should contact the department office by at 973-663-8404 or send email to cpunturieri@jeffersontownship.net. Have fun and stay safe, folks.
  • The Jefferson Township Special Needs Advocate Parents group holds a meeting Thursday at Jefferson Township High School.  The SNAP Parents gathering takes place from 7-8:15 p.m. in the Media Center of the school, 1010 Weldon Road in Oak Ridge.
  • Still restricting yourself to home and hearth to avoid the bone-chilling temperatures. We understand. But temps are rising little by little each day, and surely you're experiencing some urge to get out, right? The cure just may be live music. Every Thursday, the J-Towne Tavern presents live music and this week is no exception. The music starts at 8 p.m.  The bar and restaurant is at 5 Bowling Green Pkwy. in Lake Hopatcong.
