Felician's Morris Repeats On CACC All-Academic Team

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College women’s basketball student-athlete Ashley Morris (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Winter 2013-14 All-Academic Team, the CACC announced on Tuesday. Morris earns the honor for the second consecutive year.

 

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have used a season of eligibility while participating in a CACC winter championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Morris is in her fourth year at Felician, but was granted a medical waiver for 2011-12 and recently completed her junior season of athletic eligibility. A forward, she played in all 27 of the Golden Falcons’ games this season, starting 26, and averaged 11.7 points and a team-high 8.6 rebounds. She carries a 3.58 GPA as a graphic design major.

Morris is the only Felician student-athlete on the 2013-14 CACC Winter All-Academic Squad.

 

Conference-wide, Morris was one of a league-record 37 student-athletes to be honored this winter from the 14 member schools. She is the 17th CACC All-Academic honoree for Felician this academic year.
