Camp Jefferson Opening for the Summer

Camp Jefferson is open to children in preschool to those entering seventh and eighth grades.

With a clear lake for fishing and boating, open fields, an amphitheater and a fire pit with ample seating to close out a day of summer activities, Camp Jefferson will soon begin its annual summer camp for kids in preschool through eighth grade.

Camp Jefferson, located at 81 Weldon Road, opens for business June 23 and runs nine weeks until August 22. The camp offers a five or three-day week, both from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the choice to pick which days children will attend.

The preschool program is open to all children who will be 3 years old by June 23 and are completely potty trained. An elementary school aged program is open to children entering kindergarten to fifth grade. The tween program is open to all children entering fifth and sixth grade, and a teen program is open to kids entering seventh and eighth grades.

Discounts are available to Jefferson Township residents, and for five-week programs, there is a $10 per additional sibling registered within the same week.

Before or after camp care, morning-only bus transportation, special trips and electives, and lunch options four times a week are available.

Interested persons may call Recreation Department at 973-663-8404 or visit the Jefferson Township website and click the Camp Jefferson log cabin icon.
