Kickboxing For Cancer: Local Academy Hosts Charity Workout

iLoveKickboxing.com hosted an hour-long charity workout that benefitted the American Cancer Society and showed support for Mount Arlington mayor for his recent battle with cancer.

Community members endured an hour of intense boot-camp style kickboxing to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Local franchise iLoveKickboxing.com hosted a charity workout Saturday for community members to gather in order to get fit and support a good cause.

Mayor Arthur Ondish of Mount Arlington joined in on the festivities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that followed the workout. iLoveKickboxing invited Ondish to the events to show respect for his recent battle with cancer.

“We were overwhelmed by the show of support at the event and honored to have Mayor Ondish support our benefit and celebrate our kickboxing program with an celebratory ribbon cutting," said owner Joanne Farrell. "The show of support from our students, friends and family members was inspiring. As many of the participants can attest, the event was fun, sweaty and everyone worked as a team to help raise funds and awareness for such a serious disease.”
