New Book Club Comes To Jefferson Library

'Guys Read' is especially for men.

The Guys Read book club will be discussing "1776" by David McCullough at its meeting on Monday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Township Public Library.

The Guys Read book club is a new book group led by library director Seth Stephens.  The purpose of this group is to encourage men to read.  Stephens hopes boys will be inspired to read more often if they see older men reading and enjoying books.

"1776" is David McCullough’s follow-up to his Pulitzer Prize winning book "John Adams." "1776" tells the story of how George Washington, who had never led an army, is able to overcome the might  of the English army, with a band of untrained, loosely organized and poorly equipped colonists.
