Program to Trace Lake Hopatcong's Rise to Fame

Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum to host June 17 presentation.

Editor's note: The following is from the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum.

Due to the unavailability of a scheduled speaker, the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum has announced a new program for June 17.

Entitled “The Rise and Transition of a Great Northeast Resort,” the presentation will feature some wonderful photographs and explore the causes that led to Lake Hopatcong’s explosion as a major resort and later transition to the lake we know today.

This program is part of the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum’s dinner series and will be held at The Jefferson House Restaurant on Nolan’s Point on the shores of Lake Hopatcong.

Social hour starts at 6 p.m. There will be a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. and a program an hour later.
