Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Jefferson Township

National Weather Service issues alert until 9 p.m., flooding could occur.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Jefferson Township—and almost the entire state—until 9 p.m. Friday.

Short bursts of heavy rain could cause localized flooding, NWS said. The NWS storm production center said the thunderstorms will be capable of producing copious lightening.

Expect lows around 63 degrees and light and variable wind.
