The Week Ahead: Bible School, Meetings and a Concert

Here's what's happening in J-Town this week.

According to Phineas and Ferb, “there’s 104 days of summer vacation…” Okay, maybe not quite 104, but the rest of the summer looms ahead. Here are some things you can do, at least for the first week of summer vacation.

  1. : SonRise National Park Vacation Bible School takes place this whole week at from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. For more information or to register, visit www.gefcnj.org.
  2.  If you’re having trouble with your teenager’s behavior, this is the group to go to for support. It meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the office.
  3. : This event will take place at the on Wednesday night starting at 6:30 p.m. Funds raised will go toward weed removal on Lake Hopatcong’s Bright’s Cove. Information on weed treatment options will be available.
  4. : The council meets on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the . Check out a meeting and find out what’s happening in town.
  5. : This series kicks off on Friday night with the Jefferson Township Community Bands. The fun starts at 7 p.m. at the gazebo outside the . Bring a blanket or chair, a light snack and don’t forget the bug spray. The arts committee asks that you leave the alcoholic beverages at home. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
