Woman 'Lucky' to Be Alive, Sandy Make-Up Days Top Local News

A resident injured during storm is walking again also among this week's top headlines.

The two firefighters who rescued the woman who drove her car into Lake Hopatcong on Nov. 15 say she was "lucky" to survive after being trapped in the feezing water for at least 15 minutes.

Jefferson students will make up the lost days from Hurricane Sandy by attending school on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, and the Friday of spring break on April 5.
