It's a culinary event at A Taste of Jefferson with Jazz!

         The Jefferson Arts Committee is excited to announce that they are hosting A Taste of Jefferson with Jazz culinary event on Saturday evening, October 12 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church’s Parish Hall on Berkshire Valley Road in Milton/Oak Ridge. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and a buffet dinner service will begin at 7:15 pm.
         Those attending will have the unique opportunity to taste a wide variety of food from some of the best eateries in Jefferson Township and the immediate area. This evening will present a wonderful opportunity to enjoy dinner for a fraction of what a night out would cost plus experience the offerings of over a dozen area restaurants, socialize with friends and family, and meet new people from the area.  Tickets will be $25 pp or $20 pp for seniors 65+.
         The JAC is partnering with local restaurants, eateries, and delis who will present trays of their scrumptious food prepared in their own kitchens to present buffet style at the church hall. It will be a BYOB event, and live entertainment will be provided by the JAC’s performing arts group – The Jefferson Township Community Jazz Band under the direction of Peter Tummillo.
         Your participation will also help to support the Jefferson Arts Committee that sponsors free Summer Gazebo Concerts, Jefferson Township Day, Christmas in the Village, the Student Artists of the Month program, Coach/Vera Bradley Handbag Bingo/Tricky Tray (coming in May 2014), and subsidizes the Jefferson Township Community Concert and Jazz Bands, the Jefferson Township Community Chorus, and the Jefferson Community Players.
         Advance reservations are required, seating is limited, and no tickets will be sold at the door.  Print out and fill in a reservation form at www.jeffersonarts.org (Special Features page) and follow the mailing instructions.  If you prefer, purchase tickets in person at the Camp Jefferson Recreation Office, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong or at AJ’s Country Cone, 5711 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge (checks payable to the Jefferson Arts Committee requested).
         At this time, any area restaurant, eatery, and/or deli wishing to participate can contact artscommittee@jeffersonarts.org or call 973-697-3828 for more information. Participating eateries as of 9/9/13 include TJ's Pizzeria, Pizza Station, The Evergreen, Tuscany Brewhouse, Texas BBQ, Casa Bianca, Pinto's, Little Nicki's, Jefferson Diner, and Portofino's.  Check www.jeffersonarts.org for updates.
