Jefferson Rotary Drive Hosts Virtual Baby Shower for Infanticipating Military Families

The Jefferson Township Rotary Club offers an opportunity for the community to step up to help military families.

When mom or dad goes off to serve the nation as a member of the U.S. armed forces, that means sacrifice for the entire family. That becomes especially true when a soldier's spouse becomes pregnant or a new baby comes into the family. To help out, the Rotary Club is sponsoring a collection of items for newborns for military families expecting babies.

The Virtual Baby Shower has been moved to a new location: Bowling Green Parkway between the Jefferson Diner and Chase Bank. It will operate Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to drop off new baby items, diapers, blankets and more throughout that day to thank soldiers and their families for their service. The best news: Ribbons and funny hats are not required at this shower—but if you choose to wear one, no one will stop you.
