Christmas in the Village Includes 'Sugar & Spice'-Themed Museum Tours

The circa 1870 Chamberlain home that serves as the Jefferson Township Museum will feature Historical Society members as costumed docents.

The Jefferson Township Historical Society will be part of the holiday celebration that is the Jefferson Arts Committee's Christmas in the Village omnibus event, which runs Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Society members will serve as costumed docents for tours of the holiday-decorated Jefferson Township Museum at 315 Dover-Milton Road.

Each room of the circa 1870 Chamberlain home will be decorated in the theme of “Sugar and Spice.”  Musicians will be on hand for performances playing the Museum’s Harmonium, an antique pump organ played only during Christmas in the Village.

Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe will provide the holiday aromas. The museum offering will sell baked goods along with antiques and unique gifts.

The museum will reopen Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
