Jefferson Twp. Community Band and Chorus Will Make Joyful Noise for Holidays

The amateur musical collectives made up of local citizens will perform holiday concerts this weekend as part of the Jefferson Arts Committee Christmas in the Village.

The Jefferson Arts Community Band and Chorus will present sounds of the season during their annual holiday concerts as part of the Jefferson Arts Committee's Christmas in the Village this weekend.

The Jefferson Township Community Band under the direction of Peter Tummillo will perform "Sounds of Christmas" at 11 a.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of the Milton United Methodist Church, 316 Dover-Milton Road. Admission is free, but a free will donation would be appreciated, say organizers. Refreshments will be on sale in the church kitchen.

The Jefferson Township Community Chorus performs "Holiday Treasures" under the leadership of new director Michael J. Morris Sunday at 6 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Church, 5550 Berkshire Valley Road. (The video shows a snippet of the chorus' 2012 holiday concert.)
