Donald D. Hollander of Jefferson, Former President of Roche Dermatologics, Dies at 76

Hollander was a former board member and past president of The Fairways homeowners association, a communicant at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and an avid sports car enthusiast.

Donald D. Hollander of Oak Ridge died in Dover last Tuesday with his family by his side, according to a notice on the website of Goble Funeral Home. He was 76.

The native of St. Louis, Mo, moved to Jefferson Township 27 years ago.  He was employed for 25 years with Hoffman-La Roche in Nutley as corporate executive and as president of Roche Dermatologics. he retired in 1994.

Away from the office, Hollander was a former board member and past president of The Fairways homeowners association, a communicant at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and an avid sports car enthusiast. 

Hollander is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Loeffelman Hollander, daughters; Donna Ryan and husband Robert of Roswell, Ga., Deann Hollander and husband Dan Mitchell of Lake Mohawk and Dayna Cagarli and husband Turgut of Rockaway; brother Claude Hollander; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., in Sparta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, in Oak Ridge; interment follows in the church cemetery.

The family says it will accept memorial contributions in Donald D. Hollander's name to the charity of your choice.
