Copper Piping Theft Gets Oak Ridge Man 2 Years Probation

Eric Goodyear, 30, pleaded guilty in November to burglary and criminal mischief charges for breaking into vacant Andover home.

An Oak Ridge man was sentenced to two years probation last month for stealing copper piping from a vacant Sussex County home in October.

Eric Goodyear, 30, received two years probation and was ordered to a Treatment Assessment Screening Center evaluation and must serve 92 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office said. Goodyear was also ordered to pay $280 in fines and penalties and must submit a DNA sample at his expense, the prosecutor's office said.

Goodyear pleaded guilty in November to burglary and criminal mischief charges for breaking into a vacant Andover Township home and dismantling and stealing copper piping on Oct. 10, 2013, the prosecutor's office said.
