Cops: Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief In Jefferson

The following information is provided by the Jefferson Township Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Jefferson Township police report several incidents of burglary, theft and criminal mischief:

  • On June 10, a resident of Nolan’s Point Road reported two males were in a nearby vacant cabin. They left the cabin before patrolmen arrived, police said.
  • On June 13, a Mountain Lakes resident reported an air line on the dock bubbler had been cut at her home on Bryant Island, police said. The resident also report that phone lines to the home had been cut. Some items were reported stolen, including a 20-foot aluminum flag pole, a 10-foot piece of galvanized pipe and a warning sign advising of underwater electrical wires.
  • On June 18, a resident of Mirror Place reported her residence was entered through a rear slider door. Nothing appeared to be missing, police said.
  • On June 26, the owner of the Shell gas station on Route 15 North reported the attendants’ vestibule had been entered and $525 in cash was taken.
  • On June 26, officers responded to Hill Hollow Road on four reports of unlocked vehicles being entered. Cash, credit cards and GPS units were reported stolen from the vehicles, police said. Most of the vehicles were parked in the street or in driveways, police said. Police said one was entered through an unlocked garage. The incidents are under investigation, police said.
