Drunken Driver Crashes Going Wrong Way on Route 15, Police Say
Newton man charged with DWI and motor vehicle violations following accident near Rockaway town line.
A Sussex County man was drunk when he crashed his car while traveling the wrong way on Route 15 last month, Jefferson Police said.
Richard Catarino, 29, of Newton, was charged with DWI and several motor vehicle violations after crashing near the Rockaway town line on Feb. 25, Capt. Eric Wilsussen said.
Catarino was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Route 15 when he was involved in the single-vehicle crash, Wilsussen said.
Catarino was charged and released pending a municipal court appearance.
