UPDATE: Getty Murderer Sentencing Postponed

Ronnie Fedo pleaded guilty to June murder.

Ronnie Fedo, 34, of Lake Hopatcong, was to be sentenced on Friday for the last June. However, the court adjourned the sentencing until next Friday, March 2.

Fedo pleaded guilty last month to the lesser charge of aggravated manslaughter under a plea agreement where assistant prosecutor Brian DiGiacomo agreed to drop the more severe charge of felony murder in exchange for Fedo’s plea.

Fedo was charged with Ambaroglu’s murder last June. Ambaroglu confronted Fedo after the station owner found that Fedo had stolen some lottery tickets from the station. Ambaroglu confronted Fedo, and Fedo drove off while Ambaroglu clung to Fedo’s SUV. Ambaroglu was found laying on Route 15 and pronounced dead a short whle later.

Police located and arrested Fedo after speaking to a employee who recognized a person seen video surveillance images of the alleged thefts. , and realized he had seen the person police were seeking in the Liquor Factory earlier that day. Another liquor store employee pointed police to the area where Fedo was eventually found, police said.
