Investigation Continues for Man Who Fell Asleep at Wheel, Killing Driver: Report

Lake Hopatcong's Charles Castiglione charged with reckless and careless driving.

Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal crash in Franklin last week in which a Lake Hopatcong man crashed into a 62-year-old woman's car after allegedly falling asleep at the wheel, killing her, according to NJ.com.

Charles Castiglione, 54, has been charged with reckless driving and careless driving and was injured in the May 28 crash on Route 23 North as well, NJ.com reported. The woman, Conchita Fried, was flown to Morristown Medical Center and died at the hospital.

The Sussex County Prosecutor's Office is involved in the investigation, which could take several more weeks.
