Jefferson Man, 31, Killed in Motorcycle Crash
Matthew Rizzo struck a telephone pole on Route 181 Sunday afternoon, police said.
A 31-year-old township man was killed when his motorcycle struck a telephone pole Sunday afternoon on Route 181, Jefferson Police said.
Matthew Rizzo was transported by the Jefferson Township Rescue Squad to St. Clare's in Dover where he was pronounced dead at 4:22 p.m., according to Capt. Eric Wilsusen.
Wilsusen said Officer Dave Wojtach responded to Route 181 near Collins Road at about 3:40 p.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and there were no other vehicles involved, Wilsusen said.
Wilsusen said Jefferson Township Rescue Squad and MICU responded to the scene, and traffic officer, Det. Steve Muller, responded to assist in the investigation.
