Jefferson Rescue Squad Needs Your Help

CPR training fundraiser is coming in March and the squad wants residents to participate.

Next month, the Jefferson Rescue Squad will be in a rare position of role reversal as the first responders who are always out to help the residents of the township are looking for township to aid them.

On March 23 the squad will bw\e hosting a CPR training which, according to Vice-President Erin Schmitt, will be used as a fundraiser.

The Jefferson Rescue Squad is 50 members strong and operates three ambulances in the township. The are a 100 percent volunteer organization that depends on the community as a primary financial source.

The CPR day training not only benefits the squad, which benefits the residents, but provides life saving skills to those in attendance.

Those who attend will be certified in adult and infant CPR as well as defibrillator use.

The cost for those who pre-register is $45 and those who don't will be charged $50.

The CPR training course was designed to help the residents learn an important skill needed in an emergency. It will also help the First Aid Squad with keeping their equipment and personnel up to date. This is a great program for all residents and hopefully everyone will come out and support a great organization as well as learn a valuable tool in life saving.
