Jefferson Resident Accused of Dumping Booze Bottles at Park

Bethel Sendall, 46, allegedly dumped empty beer and alcohol bottles at Ackerson Field's parking lot.

A Jefferson resident was caught last month dumping empty alcohol bottles at a township field, police said.

Bethel Sendall, 46, was charged on Jan. 16 with illegal dumping, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle.

Jefferson Recreation Department employees reported on Jan. 14 empty beer bottles and empty pints of alcohol were being dumped for weeks at Ackerson Field's parking lot, Capt. Eric Wilsusen said.

Two days later, Officer Chris Quildort issued summonses to Sendall when he saw similar items being dumped from a vehicle at the field, Wilsusen said.
