Man Accused of Operating His Boat Drunk

The following information was supplied by the Jefferson Township police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Everyone knows you're not supposed to get on the road intoxicated (though we report on plenty of people who do it anyway). But, police say, one Jefferson Township man found out it's a bad idea to get on the water that way, too.

Jefferson police responded to New Jersey State Police headquarters on Lake Hopatcong for a report of two boaters on the lake harassing each other, police said. After an investigation, Joshua Moskowitz, 38,of Jefferson Township, was arrested and charged with operating a vessel under the influence and refusal to submit to a breath test.

He was later released pending a municipal court appearance.
