Man Huffed Dust Cleaner in Roadway, Cops Say

Jefferson Twp. resident stopped car just to get high, police report.

A Jefferson Township man was arrested and taken to St. Clare’s Hospital after police found him huffing toxic chemicals in the middle of the street, Jefferson Township Police Capt. Eric Wilsusen said.

Police responded to Cozy Lake Road on April 10 for a report of a man sitting in the middle of the road inhaling a can of dust cleaner, Wilsusen said.

An investigation revealed Joseph Guiliano, 40, stopped his car in the middle of the road, and began huffing the cleaner, Wilsusen said.

Guiliano was arrested at the scene and two cans of dust cleaner were located, Wilsusen said. Guiliano was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital for evaluation, and issued summonses for possession of a toxic chemical for the purpose of intoxication and driving while intoxicated.
