Family Receives $100K for Picatinny Arsenal Misfire

Jefferson home was struck by an M107 projectile fragment that landed on a child's bed and killed family cat.

A Jefferson family whose home was struck six years ago by a projectile from the Picatinny Arsenal that killed their cat has agreed to a $100,000 settlement.

Court documents were released Monday that revealed the Angle family agreed to the settlement late last year, according to the Daily Record.

An investigation revealed an M107 projectile fragment flew beyond the hazardous zone for Picatinny’s testing area, crashing through the Angle family’s home in the Longwood Lake area, landing on a child’s bed and killing the family pet.

The Angle family originally sought more than $4 million in a lawsuit filed in 2009 that was rejected and were offered $7,386. The family amended their complaint and moved forward with the new lawsuit last year.

Why isn't the government testing this stuff in the middle of the Nevada desert? Idiots......they deserve to get sued.
