Police Blotter: Multiple DWI Arrests

Also, two charged with theft.

 Two Jefferson residents were arrested on charges of possessing what police suspected was heroin. Police stopped Michael Wilson, 20 and Samuel Peters, 19, both of Jefferson and Justin Dennison, 22, of Paterson when they were observed going through a stop sign. Police investigated and found what they suspected to be heroin in the car. All three were taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

 John Moroney, 20, of Jefferson, was arrested and charged with DWI after he was allegedly involved in an accident on Yacht Club Drive. Moroney’s mother, Rebecca Moroney, 54, also of Jefferson, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension after she allegedly transported John Moroney from the scene of the accident to his home.

 Police responded to a Longwood Lake Road residence on a report of possible underage drinking. They arrested Joseph Logan, 18, of Jefferson on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia. Police also arrested Biko Manus, 18, of Jefferson, and charged him with underage consumption. Both were released pending a municipal court appearance.

 Police arrested Jay Holodynsky, 21, of Jefferson, after they received a report of an erratic driver on Eugenia Lane. Holodynsky was charged with DWI and released pending a municipal court appearance.

 Robert Rokoszak, 53, of Jefferson, was stopped for allegedly driving erratically on Ridge Road. He was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a controlled dangerous substance as he was also allegedly in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, police said. He was released pending a municipal court appearance.

 Police received a report that jewelry had been stolen from a home on Elizabeth Place on April 5. Detectives investigated and later arrested Christine Hurff, 23 and Travis Salisbury, 26, both of Jefferson. They were charged with theft, and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

 Someone allegedly stole eight heavy-duty batteries and assorted grounding plates and wires from the Spring tower on Berkshire Valley Road behind Jefferson Medical Imaging, police said. The approximately value of the stolen property is $10,000.
