Police: Man Caught Peering Into Home Windows Resists Arrest

A Jefferson man caught peering into township home windows became combative when officers confronted him, police said.

David Whitehead, 43, was charged with defiant trespassing, peering into windows, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.

According to Capt. Eric Wilsusen, Sgt. Robert Bush responded on Feb. 23 to the area of Moosepac Lane and Lincoln Drive for a report of a suspicious man peering into residential windows on Cozy Lake Road.

Whitehead was spotted and matched the description witnesses provided, Wilsussen said. Whitehead became "belligerent and argumentative" and refused to be placed under arrest before being taken into custody, according to Wilsussen.

Whitehead was charged and released pending a court appearance.
