Police: Man Fled During Attempted Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Jefferson Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jefferson Township police were attempting to arrest a Jefferson man who tried to escape them, resulting in additional charges.

Officer Sean Krater was attempting to place Anthony Mason, 23, under arrest on June 28 on a no bail warrant from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Mason fled on foot, police said. They later located Mason, and charged him with resisting arrest and hinder apprehension, police said.

Mason was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
