Cops: Man Flees Crash, Assaults Homeowner
The following arrest information was supplied by the Jefferson Township police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Jefferson resident was arrested after he left the scene of an accident, but left his car at the scene, according to Jefferson Township police.
Christian Reilly, 34, of Jefferson Township allegedly crashed into two parked vehicles on Cozy Lake Road on Feb 10, police said. A resident of Cozy Lake Road approached Reilly, and Reilly allegedly assaulted the homeowner, police said. Reilly fled the scene on foot and was not located, police said.
However, he left the car he was driving at the scene of the accident. Police went to Reilly’s home, and issued him several motor vehicle summonses, including leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, police said.
