Power Restoration Effort Continues in Jefferson

Several areas still without power, though officials hope for swift resolution.

Several sections of Jefferson Township still have homes that remain without power as of Friday afternoon, but Sergeant Paul Castimore of the Jefferson Township Police Department assures residents that crews will continue to work until all power is restored.

“Our DPW is out in full force trying to patch up a lot of things that happened,” Castimore said.

Sections still without power include homes in the areas of White Rock, Moose Pack, Lake Shawnee, Minnisink and North Lakeside Avenue, as well as sporadic individual homes throughout the township.

Residents looking to utilize shower facilities no longer have the option of utilizing the showers at Jefferson Township High School. If residents have a need for outside shower facilities, they can still utilize those at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation on Weldon Road.
