Pair Accused of Selling Drugs in Jefferson School Zone

Jefferson man and woman from Butler face multiple drug charges stemming from Nov. 4 incident.

Two people were arrested last week for trying to sell marijuana in a Jefferson school zone, police said.

Dylan Hannah, 20, of Jefferson, was charged with obstruction, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute within a school zone, possession of less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana and possession of a digital scale used to distribute.

Rebecca Piccirillo, 20, of Butler, was issued a summons for possession of less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana, possession of a digital scale used to distribute controlled substances, possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute within a drug free school zone.

Hannah is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail with no 10 percent option, according to Capt. Eric Wilsusen.

Wilsusen said Piccirillo was released pending a Municipal Court appearance.

According to the department statement, Cpl. Bill Kropp saw a vehicle he considered suspicious on Cindy Lane on Nov. 4. When he approached the vehicle, a man later identified as Hannah left the car and ran inside a house, Wilsusen said. A woman, Piccirillo, stayed in the vehicle.

Kropp's investigation led to the discovery of marijuana that the two were smoking and weighing on a scale in the vehicle, Wilsusen said.
